Diabetic Sugar Destroyer
Hello everyone. I am so excited to tell you about this herbal supplement. It has truly been a blessing to me. I have been taking this herbal supplement and I have seen a change in my blood in blood sugar levels. My levels were extremely high (288-399). Now that I have incorporated this one into my daily regimen they are now below 200.
The herb is called Gymnema Sylvestre that reduces blood sugar levels after sugar consumption. It is a woody shrub that is native to India and Africa. The leaves of the plant are used for medicinal purposes. It has a long history of use in India's Ayurvedic medicine. The Hindi name is Gurmar which means "the sugar destroyer". It blocks the taste of sugar from the system. Taking this supplement before meals will cause your body not to absorb the sugar your body would normally absorb resulting in fewer caloric intake. Both the sugar and Gymnema are digested in the small intestine however the larger molecules of the Gymnema can't be absorbed and is passed through your system and the remaining sugar is passed as waste.
Gymnemic acid, the active ingredient in Gymnema Sylvestre, is an organic acid. The molecular structure has a similar atomic arrangement than glucose molecules. This causes the molecules to fill the receptor locations on the taste buds from about one to two hours resulting on you being unable to taste sugar in any food during that period of time. The acid also fills the receptors in the absorptive external layers of the intestine, temporarily blocking the sugar the absorption of the sugar molecules. Even though the blocking of sugar takes place, it will not effect the taste buds but will take the craving of sugar. It works great with cases of diabetes.
When Gymnema is used for hyper-insulin, it is recommended to be taken with GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor) Chromium in order to stabilize blood sugar.
It is also used to treat allergy, anemia, cholesterol, diabetes, digestion, hyperactivity, hypoglycemia, urinary tract infection, and weight management.
Always remember take them as directed on the label. Continue to check your blood sugars regularly. I can only give testament on how the supplement worked for me I took a leap of faith and resulting with not needing prescribed diabetic medications anymore. I am NOT advising anyone to stop taking their medication.
If you decide to try it please let me know how it works for you.

Bilberry Benefits
As a certified herbalist I am discovering some great and natural ways to stay healthy. On this earth, God has created beautiful things that can be used to feed us, make us healthy and happier. In my research I came across the Bilberry, also known as the Blueberry or the Huckleberry. This berry is used as a Antiseptic, Astringent, Diuretic, Nutritive. You can used the leaves and the berries.
Bilberry was discovered in northern Europe and Asia. The great thing is that you can eat of the berries, make them in to a jellies or jams and add honey. It was said by historians that during World War II the British pilots would eat Bilberry jam and bread which made it seem they were more successful at hitting targets. After this observation, they began to research and found that it helped eye disorders, it helped against fatigue, reduce eye irritation, nearsightedness, and night blindness, it extends the range and the sharpness of your vision, helps you to adjust to darkness by accelerating the regeneration of the retina. Bilberry is a great fruit! A super food! For preventative purposes, Bilberry can help to restrain the development of glaucoma cataracts.
The berries contain contain anthocyanins associated with P-vitamin (bioflavonoid) functions. There are large amounts of Anthocyanin in the plants and the P-vitamin is noted to be even stronger in Bilberry than any other combination, particularly citrus fruit. This works well in the strengthening of the capillaries in the peripheral circulation, decreasing the permeability of the capillary membranes.
Eat Bilberry dried are used for their astringent qualities in the treatment of dysentery and diarrhea. It also improves blood circulation by increasing the ability of fluids and nourishment to pass through veins and to capillaries. As an astringent, this herb can be great for pregnancy. It's strong but gentle properties will strengthen vein and capillary support, aids in kidney function, is a mild diuretic for bloating.
Below is a list of ailments Bilberry has been known to aid in:
Bladder stones, Infections, Blood thinner, kidney problems, blood vessels, light sensitivity, cold hands and feet, diabetes, diarrhea (infant), Dropsy, Dysentery, Eye problems, Hemorrhoids, Immune system, night blindness, Raynaud's disease, Scurvy, skin (ulcerative), Typhoid epidemics, Urinary problems, varicose veins, and water retention.

The Road to a healthier ME
As an individual that has battled with her health for the past 10 years, it has become a passion of mine to find natural ways to heal my body. As a type 2 diabetic and a heart patient at the age of 33 years old, it became evident that it was time to do something about my lifestyle that would result in "A Healthier Me".
On March 2, 2009, I was on my way to work in Schenectady, NY. It was 4 degrees below zero and I began to sweat profusely. Ignorant to what was happening to me, I detoured to a corner store to get myself together. Within seconds of me entering the store I fell to my knees. I tried to shake it off so that I could make it to work but, the cashier insisted that I stay and let her call the ambulance. She begged me to stay. I did and I'm glad I did. If I would have got in the car to proceed to work I would have had a heart attack while driving and would not be here to share my story with you. I am thankful for the cashier persuading me to stay. When I got in the ambulance I experienced a pain worst than child birth and neither EMT would tell me what was going on. When I arrived in the Emergency Room, the Doctor informed me that I had just had a heart attack.
After being in the hospital for a week and being the youngest patient on the cardiac unit, I knew that it was time for me to change my lifestyle if I wanted to live longer. I left the hospital with 12 prescriptions that made me sleepy, depressed, slothful, as well as so many other emotions. I didn't have any recovery time because I was a single mother and if I'm not working there was no food on the table. We were living paycheck to paycheck. Then job stated that I had changed and I wasn't my usually bubbly self, they stated that my work habit had changed and I was told that I was no longer a "fit" for the organization and was let go. While at home I was watching television and Dr. Oz came on and he began talking about natural alternatives to surgery, prescribed medications, etc. It caught my attention so that I began to go to the library the next day to research herbs and other natural alternatives. This ignited a fire within me to use my findings and see what happens. So I did and I was shocked to find that something natural could give me the kind of results that it gave me. This motivated me to find a school that would tell me more so I enrolled and a certification as an herbalist in 2009. Since then, travel and teach people how to use herbal combinations to heal, improve, and strengthen their bodies.
I do conference calls, workshop, webinars, etc. to educator, empower, and inspire individuals to live healthier happier lives.
So this is the first blog of many and as you take this journey with me, I will share information, testimonies, as well as my own of how herbs and things given to us by God can heal your body and set you free from a lot of the prescribed medication that's out there.
