Basil is Great!

In the far east and in Africa, Basil was used as a cough medicine. It has also been used to expel worms. It's high regarded in India and was worshipped as a sacred herb and was considered more valuable than the kings and queens of ancient times.

In cases of extreme exhaustion Basil is known to be used as a stimulant. It has positive antispasmodic and antibacterial properties. Therefore, it is useful for drawing out poisons when applied to wasp and hornet stings or venomous bites.
